BUFFALO, N.Y. -- UB CAMPUS CREATIVES was launched in 2022 to strip the veneer and explore the burgeoning creative space on a university campus teeming with talent and intention.
Our team enjoys creating conversation, interviewing creatives on campus and testing the boundaries of what a creative ought to be with every guest.

My name is Jailyssa Torres and I am a sophomore at the University of Buffalo studying communications and business. I am currently interested in Education and would like to dive more into that sector.
I currently serve as the Red Jacket senator where I serve as a liaison between the community board Residential Hall Association (RHA) and the Red Jacket council.
When I am not taking naps, I’m thinking about when I am going to take my next nap. Besides that, I really enjoy hikes and exploring nature through my paintbrush.
I am a sophomore communication major and student journalist at the University at Buffalo.
I'm currently an assistant news/features editor at The Spectrum and have written for Kulture Hub as a contributing writer intern.
In my spare time, I enjoy browsing the Google news tab, increasing my caffeine tolerance and systematically exploring all the possible ways to lose a chess match.
